Rama-Palooza
What’s a Rama-palooza?
It’s a combination of chanting, music, storytelling, puppets, and meditation.
It’s a creative, heart-opening invitation to experience the mystical energy and meaning of one of India’s most treasured tales - the Ramayana. This story recounts the trials, tests, and triumphs of Rama. But, like all enduring literature, this story resonates with timeless, archetypal themes. It’s really about you, your soul, and the inner path of liberation.
The Rama-palooza is a full-participation event.
You will be part of the unfolding story as you chant and meditate with the musicians of Jaya! the Kirtan Band. As the story progresses, the mantras and music take you deeper and deeper into the:
- Drama – as his beloved wife Sita is kidnapped by the 10-headed demon Ravana.
- Action – as the great devotee Hanuman enters Ravana’s island fortress to liberate Sita.
- Music – as Jaya! the Kirtan Band brings the mystical energy of the drama to life with soul-stirring chants
- Meditation – as you enter deeply into the story of Rama and liberate the “kidnapped” energies of your soul
