Mysticism is nothing new. All of the major religions have always had their inner, mystical correlates. Buddhism has Zen, Islam has Sufism, Judaism has Kabbalah and so forth.
Regardless of the tradition though, the goal of the mystic is all the same, for mysticism is the territory in which the outer differences of the religions dissolve, and only the inner truths, which are shared, remain.
All mystical “inner paths” aim to bring their students deep within themselves, moving them beyond their hurts, fears, resentments, and mental concepts, to where they can come to know firsthand who they are as Soul and what is the force of the Divine. It is only from this place, from the seat of the Innermost, can one truly know one's Self, be at peace and be full of the love of Gd and the world.
What Is Mystical Judaism?
Mystical Judaism is the inner teaching of Judaism. While the tenets and principles of Jewish mysticism do not differ from traditional Judaism, as in all mystical paths, the approach is far more inner and transformative in nature. In mysticism, the emphasis is placed on transcending dogma and coming into a firsthand experience of God and the Soul. Some of the better known Jewish mystics have been Ezekiel the Prophet, Isaac Luria, the Maharal of Prague (who created the golem) & the Baal Shem Tov.
Jewish mysticism has been practiced ever since the formation of the Torah itself. Since that time, people now known as mystics would seem to somehow enter into a deeper experience of God than those around them. We have stories of these saints throughout history - and in our lives we have sometimes come across individuals who seem to embody this deeper realization.
Wisdom Heart Community offers to seekers the opportunity to train under the direction and supervision of teachers in the mystical path. Our intention is to bring each seeker into a direct experience of God, and into developing a connection with the divine that is so deep and real that he or she can never doubt it again.
We use time-honored methods of instruction and a combination of study, spiritual exercises, and devotional practices. When people attend classes, rituals, and seminars, and/or begin individual instruction, it is not very long before they begin to have experiences that change their lives. They begin to heal from the wounds of the past and grow into their full potential as spiritual beings in physical bodies.
